Al dente means just cooked enough so it is still firm in texture.

al dente egg noodles

The term al dente is usually used to refer pasta & al dente pasta means pasta cooked just enough so it is still firm and not so soft.

For softer pasta, you will need to cook the pasta for couple of minutes more than al dente pasta.

Al dente noodles means the noodles are just cooked enough so they are edible and safe to eat, however, they are not cooked further to be softer in texture.

Just like al dente pasta, al dente noodles taste great as they have chewy texture and great to be used in salads or any noodle recipes.

What is the difference between pasta noodles & egg noodles?

Pasta noodles usually refers to spaghetti noodles, fettucine etc which are made from flour similar to flour used to make pasta and egg noodles contain more eggs in the ingredients and has more of an eggy taste and flavor with a yellow color to it.

Pasta noodles include spaghetti noodles, angel hair pasta noodles etc while egg noodles include noodles like wide egg noodles, extra wide egg noodles, narrow Amish style egg noodles etc!

Extra wide egg noodles
