Blueberry pineapple smoothie makes the best, tropical flavored summer fruit smoothie that is also dairy free (without yogurt or milk) and bursting with blueberry flavor! Blueberry pineapple smoothie is naturally sweet from the canned pineapples in juice, that we use, but we also add some (optional) honey to make it more tastier.
However, if you want to keep it less sweet to reduce the calories, you may skip the honey.
If you don't like the taste of honey, you may use another sweetener of your chocie as well.
This easy blueberry pineapple smoothie is perfect as a quick breakfast smoothie drink or enjoy it as a filling fruit snack!
Though we don't add any refined sugar and we only use honey as an optional ingredient (which you may skip), the smoothie still is high in natural sugar content mainly from the pineapples that we use so this may not be ideal if you are looking for a low sugar smoothie.
I used canned pineapples in juice along with blueberries in this recipe.

Pineapples are rich in fiber and they have lots of nutrients too but some people might have pineapple allergies so be sure to know if you have pineapple allergy before trying smoothies made of pineapples.
Also, some believe pineapples are not good during pregnancy so pineapple drinks or smoothies are not recommended if you are pregnant.
However, I am not a doctor so if you have any medical conditions you might want to check with your doctor specifically about including pineapples or any new fruits or herbs or foods in your diet.

How To Make Blueberry Pineapple Smoothie?
To make easy, delicious and quick blueberry pineapple smoothie drink, we use the following ingredients.
Ingredients used
canned pineapple slices in juice 20 oz (equivalent to about 2.5 cups, you may just use 2 cups as well)
blueberries 2 cups (I used fresh berries here, it makes blending easier with less liquid)
honey 2 tablespoons (adjust to taste, you may use another sweetener or skip it)
Step by step instructions
Place the pineapple slices in the blender.
Also add the pineapple juice in the can to the blender (if you use fresh pineapple slices and do not have pineapple juice you can just use plain water or coconut water if you like).
Wash the blueberries very well and add this also to the blender.
Also add the honey (if using) and blend the contents until smooth.
Transfer the prepared blueberry pineapple smoothie to glass cups and serve immediately for best results!
How to store blueberry pineapple smoothie in fridge?
For the best results, I recommend serving the smoothie as soon as it is made.
If you want to save it for later use, you can store the smoothie in fridge where it will stay fresh for another 2 to 3 days.
However, just before serving, it is a good idea to run it through the blender again for best results.
If you want to store the smoothie for more days, you may store it in freezer.
It is a good idea to transfer the smoothie to ice cube trays and store in freezer for easy usage later.
