In this strawberry blueberry smoothie, we use vanilla extract for flavor.
However, you can also use a pinch of cardamom powder to flavor the smoothie, to make it taste more like Indian stlyle lassi.
Indian lassi is nothing but smoothie made using fresh fruits, yogurt and milk as the main ingredients.
Often, delicious mango lassi is prepared using sweet mangoes in India which are extremely popular around the world as one of the most loved Indian drinks.
However, we can also make lassi using other fruits like this peach lassi using peaches and aso berries like strawberries, blueberries etc by preparing the smoothies in a similar fashion.
I actually have a very easy and simple strawberry lassi (strawberry smoothie without bananas) here which is super easy to make using very few ingredients!

Wash the blueberries and strawberries very well and add them to the blender. I sliced the strawberries in halves before adding to the blender.
Add the milk, sugar, vanilla extract and yogurt also to the blender.
Blend until very smooth (to make it more easier, you may blend the berries and milk first and then add yogurt at the end as it is easier to add the yogurt at last).
Serve immediately for best results!
You may adjust the amount of berries or proportion of strawberries and blueberries to your taste.
You may also adjust the amount of sugar based on your preference.
If you wish to save the smoothie for later use, make sure to refrigerate until serving. It’s a good idea to stir the smoothie very well before serving.
If you want to store it for more than a day, you may freeze the smoothie by transferring the contents to an ice cube tray.
Later, you may just blend the frozen cubes just before serving.
You may store the prepared smoothie in the freezer for few more days.
Can you use frozen berries to make this smoothie?
Yes, you can use frozen berries to make this smoothie and it is awesome! In this recipe, I used fresh berries because I had fresh strawberries and blueberries with me.
Also, it I didn’t want it too frosty and too cold, so it is a personal preference that I used fresh berries and also chilled milk.
To make the smoothie even more thick and frosty, you can use frozen berries and frozen milk cubes if you wish, or you may reduce the amount of milk!
