What Is Mango Milk?

mango milk

Mango milk is simply mango flavored milk using ripe mangoes (or mango pulp).

If you don't have mangoes or mango pulp, you can even use mango extract to make mango flavored milk!

We also use little vanilla extract or cardamom powder to flavor this drink and it is lightly sweetened with added sugar.

Mango Flavored Milk Vs Mango Milkshake (Differences)

Mango flavored milk is usually slightly different from mango milkshake because milkshake is more creamy and thickened with ice cream and more mangoes.

Even mango milkshakes made without ice cream is usually thicker than mango flavored milk.

The amount of mangoes used in mango milk is lesser than mango milkshake and so the consistency of mango milk is more thinner than mango milkshake.

Mango milkshake is also usually higher in calories than mango flavored milk.

Two Ways To Make Mango Milk

mango milk

We can make delicious mango milk in two different ways and both methods are pretty easy.

The first method is the most easy, simple way to make delicious mango flavored milk where we simply blend mangoes and milk in a good quality blender to make the mango flavored milk. This is the method we use in this recipe.

The second method is the same way we make Korean or Japanese strawberry milk, peach milk etc where we first make a mango syrup by cooking finely chopped mangoes along with sugar for a few minutes.

Mango syrup or sauce can be made similar to this sweet mango compote (sauce), the only difference is that you need to slice the mangoes in small sized pieces to make mango milk, and also you only need less amount of mangoes.

Then, we add milk to the prepared mango syrup to make mango milk, so the mangoes are not completely blended and you can enjoy bits of mangoes in the drink.

If you prefer a smooth consistecy for the drink, you can blend the prepared milk once it is cooled enough!
