This recipe make a small batch of about 10 cinnamon vanilla crinkle cookies or cinnamon crack cookies.

Cinnamon vanilla crinkle cookies are delicious crinkle cookies or crackle cookies flavored with vanilla and cinnamon.

The cookies are rolled in powdered sugar before baking which contributes to the crinkles or crackles on the surface of the cookies, which naturally add beautiful patterns to the baked cookies!

These are inspired by the crinkle cookies popular in American cuisine and also the cinnamon sugar cookies popular in Mexican cuisine, but these cookies are not exactly the same as those.

How to make eggless cinnamon vanilla crinkle cookies?

We use the following ingredients to make delicious & eggless cinnamon vanilla crinkle cookies.

Ingredients to make cinnamon vanilla crinkle cookies

for the cookie dough:

all purpose flour 1 cup

powdered sugar 1 cup

baking powder ¾ teaspoon

butter ½ cup softened

vanilla extract ½ teaspoon

cinnamon powder ¾ teaspoon

salt ¼ teaspoon

for cinnamon sugar mix:

powdered sugar ¼ cup (may adjust the amount as needed)

cinnamon powder ⅛ teaspoon

Step By Step Instructions

In a large bowl, mix together the following dry ingredients for the cookie dough – flour, cinnamon powder and salt until the ingredients are well mixed evenly.

In a different bowl, mix together the butter and powdered sugar (one cup) until sugar is dissolved.

Also add the vanilla extract and mix with the butter sugar mixture.

Pour the prepared butter sugar mixture to the dry flour mixture and mix well using a spoon to form a crumbly mixture.

Then knead with your hands to make the cinnamon cookie dough.

In case the mixture is still crumbly and you have difficulty forming the dough, you may add about one teaspoon of water or milk and knead again to make the cookie dough.

Cover the cookie dough and place the cookie dough for about 10 minutes in the refrigerator.

To make the cinnamon sugar mix for rolling the cookies:

In a bowl, mix together the ¼ cup powdered sugar and also ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder until they are evenly mixed.

Keep this mixture aside until the cookie dough is chilled and we are ready to bake the cookies.

To make the cinnamon sugar cookies:

Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.

Layer a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make small balls out of the prepared cookie dough (chilled dough) and roll the balls in the cinnamon sugar mix that we made.

Place the cookie dough balls in the baking sheet, make sure to leave some space between the cookie dough balls as they will expand while baking.

For best results, roll each of the cookies once more in the powdered sugar & cinnamon mix so they will have more coating which will help in creating beautiful crinkle patterns!

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 14 to 15 minutes until they are lightly browned on the edges.

The cookies may look too soft at this point, but it’s fine as they will harden enough as they cool down.

If you bake for more time, the cookies can turn hard.

So once they are baked, immediately transfer the cookies from the hot oven.
