Roasted strawberries are delicious and strawberry sauce is super delicious with all those juicy, oven roasted strawberries!

We make this roasted strawberry sauce by roasting fresh strawberries until they are soft and juicy and filled with natural sweetness and flavor of strawberries.

This sugar free strawberry sauce recipe depends on the roasted flavor and natural sweetness of strawberries.

The sweetness increases as you bake the fresh strawberries and they become very juicy and soft perfect to be used for toppings and fillings.

I also used few spoons of pure fresh maple syrup to add to the sweetness.

However, you may skip the maple syrup if you want to keep the sugar levels lower.

You can use this fresh strawberry sauce recipe to make fresh strawberry topping for cheesecake, pancakes, french toast, ice creams as well as strawberry filling for pastries or cheesecake or anything you wish or you can imagine where fresh strawberry sauce will be ideal.

The sweetness and flavor of strawberries increase when they are roasted in the oven.

I baked the fresh strawberries along with pure maple syrup to make it more sweet.

You can see in the photo how I have used the pureed fresh strawberry sauce as strawberry topping for the cake.

Below you can see the ingredients used and the step by step instructions to make easy and delicious strawberry sauce.

Ingredients to make roasted strawberry sauce

3 cups fresh strawberries

3 tablespoons 100% Pure Maple syrup

Step by step instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cut the strawberries in half lengthwise.

Toss the strawberries with maple syrup and lay them in a single layer in a greased baking sheet.

Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes.

Check to see if the strawberries have become soft and juicy.

Baking time in different ovens can vary slight, so if you think you want the strawberries more soft and juicy, you may bake it for little more time.

The freshly prepared strawberry sauce is ready and you can use it warm or chilled as you like.

Notes: The sauce is very sweet and full of flavor you can use it as it is for fillings and toppings if you prefer strawberry chunks in your strawberry sauce.

If you prefer a smooth texture for your filling or topping, you can easily puree the roasted strawberries in a blender and use it as the filling or strawberry topping as you wish!
