This garlic sauteed broccoli makes the perfect topping for pizzas or you can enjoy this as a side dish with rice, noodles, pasta etc for lunch or dinner.

We use garlic to flavor the sauteed broccoli and we use garlic powder in this recipe but you may use garlic sauce or fresh garlic as well.

However, if you use substitutes like fresh garlic or garlic sauce you might want to slightly adjust the amounts to balance the garlic flavor based on your preferences.

Since we use garlic powder along with olive oil in this recipe, it basically works like a simple garlic sauce in itself!

How To Saute Broccoli With Garlic And Olive Oil?

To make the best garlic sauteed broccoli, we use the following ingredients.

fresh broccoli florets 12 oz (medium sized)

salt adjust to taste

olive oil 2 tablespoons

garlic powder 1 teaspoon

Step by step instructions

Place the broccoli florets (washed and cleaned but make sure it’s dry) in a large frying pan or skillet.

Add olive oil and enough salt, cook in medium heat for about one minute.

Add garlic powder also to the pan, stir the contents very well to coat with the broccoli, cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Stir again and saute the broccoli for another 1 to 2 minutes until the broccoli is well sauteed and lightly browned on edges but still crunchy in texture!
