Blueberry cobbler makes a simple, easy, delicious dessert for summer or anytime when blueberries are available.
I have also made these easy strawberry peach cobbler, easy peach cobbler from scratch, apple cobbler & strawberry cobbler which are all very delicious and easy to make fruit cobblers.
However, this is not a cobbler with biscuit like crust topping.
The crust of this cobbler is soft & have a cake like texture which is very delicious when combined with the baked juicy blueberries.
Even if you are used to cobblers with biscuit like crust toppings, do try this blueberry cobbler with soft crust which is so delicious!
Though I made this blueberry cobbler with fresh blueberries, you may also use frozen blueberries instead of fresh blueberries if that's what you have.
Cobblers using berries can be made in different ways using different berries and this blueberry cobbler using fresh blueberries is one of the most delicious, homemade blueberry dessert you can easily make at home from scratch.

How to make easy blueberry cobbler at home?
We use the following ingredients to make easy, delicious and very berry blueberry cobbler at home!

for the fruit filling:
blueberries 3.5 cups (to 4 cups)
sugar ½ cup
cornstarch 1 tablespoon
for the batter:
self rising flour 1 cup
butter ½ cup softened
sugar 1 cup
milk 1 cup
vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Step By Step Instructions
To make the berry filling:
Wash the strawberries very well, add sugar mix well with the blueberries.
Add the cornstarch and mix evenly with the sugared blueberries so the fruits are coated with the cornstarch.
Keep this prepared fruit mixture aside, you can even refrigerate this mixture for keeping it fresh until we make the batter for the cobbler.
To make the batter:
Add the flour to a large bowl.
In a different bowl, mix together the softened butter and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
Add milk and vanilla extract also to the butter sugar mixture and whisk well to combine.
Pour the wet ingredients mixture to the dry flour mixture and mix well to combine and form the batter for the cobbler.
To make the blueberry cobbler:
Preheat oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit.
Grease a pan with little butter and place the blueberries in a single layer.
Pour the batter over the blueberries, gently mix in to spread it evenly across the pan.
Place the pan inside a cookie sheet or baking sheet (to catch any drippings from the cobbler) and bake the cobbler in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degree Fahrenheit and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cobbler is cooked through!
Serve the delicious blueberry cobbler while its still warm (or you may chill it once it reaches room temperature) with ice cream or whipped cream as you like!
