How To Make Oil Brownies With Canola Oil Or Olive Oil?
We use the following ingredients to make easy and simple dairy free oil brownies without butter and milk.
Ingredients used
½ cup all purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup cocoa powder
salt a pinch
½ cup canola oil (or use sunflower oil or olive oil)
2 eggs at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Step By Step Instructions
In a bowl, mix together all dry ingredients – flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl, beat the eggs well until the yolks and whites are well combined.
Add the sugar to the eggs and mix well until the sugar is dissolved and combined well with the eggs.
Add the oil and vanilla extract to the egg sugar mixture and mix well everything.
Add the egg mixture to the dry flour mixture and stir the contents very well to combine all ingredients, without forming any lumps. In case the batter is too thick you may add an extra tablespoon of oil only if necessary.
To bake the oil brownies:
Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
Transfer the brownie batter to a greased baking pan or tray.
Bake for about 30 minutes until the brownie separates from the sides of the pan and the inside of the brownie is completely cooked.
If the top of the brownie is cooked and the inside is not completely done, make sure to cover the pan with good quality foil and bake for another 5 to 6 minutes until the brownie is completely cooked (baking for more time without using foil may turn the brownie hard, so make sure to use the foil if the inside is not done and if you have to bake for few more minutes).
While the brownie is still warm, you can cut the brownies in small squares using a plastic knife by first cutting along the sides and then cutting by squares from inside (starting from one side of the pan).
