strawberries 2 cups
heavy whipping cream ½ cup
vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
sugar 2 tablespoons
whipped cream (as preferred for topping)
Step by step instructions
Wash the strawberries very well, remove the green stem end and slice inhalves or quarters. If the strawberries are small or medium sized, you can just slice them in halves but if they are larger in size, you can slice in quarters.
Keep the sliced strawberries in a large bowl. Add one tablespoon of sugar and mix well to combine with the strawberries.
In a different bowl, add the heavy whipping cream.
Also add the remaining one tablespoon of sugar and vanilla extract to the heavy cream, mix well until the sugar dissolves.
