If you use fresh pineapple, make sure to remove the thick, tougher parts of the skin that are not edible and can get into the flesh of the fruit which won't get cooked.

- pure fresh maple syrup 2 tablespoons
- water 2 cups
- milk 2 cups
- cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon
- vanilla extract 1 teaspoon

- Place the oatmeal in large or medium sized saucepan.
- Add water and canned pineapples in juice, cook in medium to high heat.
- Add milk, vanilla, maple syrup and cinnamon powder also to the pan, mix well and bring the mixture to a boil (keep stirring to avoid the oatmeal sticking to the bottom of the pan).
- Reduce the heat to low and cook the oatmeal for another 3 to 4 minutes to reach porridge consistency (stir often).
- Once it is done, turn off the heat and transfer the cooked pineapple oatmeal porridge to a cool place.
- Transfer to serving bowls and serve the oatmeal while it's still warm for best results!
