Blueberry milk is delicious, nutrious, quick and easy flavored milk with blueberries and vanilla. This is a drink similar to blueberry milkshake but the texture or consistency of blueberry milk is much thinner than the milkshake, and it is simply more easy to drink which makes it a great choice especially for kids!
You can also make other kinds of flavored milk drinks using different fruits like mango milk, Korean strawberry milk, peach vanilla cinnamon milk, banana almond milk, chocolate banana milk, coffee banana milk and more!
Blueberry milk contains blueberries and milk as the main two ingredients, so naturally the prepared milk will also have the flavors and nutrients of blueberries and milk.
However, we also use sugar in the recipe but you can always replace sugar with natural sweeteners if you like.

Fresh Blueberries Vs Frozen Blueberries To Make Blueberry Milk
If you wonder whether it is best to use fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries to make the blueberry milk, I recommend using fresh blueberries in this recipe since we want a lighter texture for the milk and fresh blueberries are really easy to blend with the milk.
As you can see here, I used frozen blueberries to garnish the dish but it is easier to make the flavored milk using fresh berries.
When we use frozen blueberries directly without thawing first, the resulting drink has a thicker, frosty texture similar to that of blueberry smoothies.
If you like it that way, then using frozen blueberries is fine. Otherwise, it is a good idea to thaw the frozen blueberries first before using in this recipe.
Alternatively, you may also cook the blueberries on stove top first to make the blueberry sauce which can be used in the recipe, to make the drink more easily.
If you make blueberry sauce, you will only need to use couple of tablespoons of the sauce to make a cup of blueberry milk and you may add more sauce later, if needed.
You can find the recipe for blueberry sauce here and you can also make blueberry sauce in instant pot!
